When my brother Winston and I were about 13 or 14, our mom told us that they were taking us to a summer camp for about a week up in New Hampshire. And we were very upset. We did not want to go. We were city kids and we didn’t want to go hang out at a summer camp. By the time we left this camp, we were crying and hugging the rest of the staff and we made lifelong friends there.

World Fellowship promotes global justice and connections between people, communities and nature through education, recreation and creative expression.
00:01:03:08 – 00:01:22:13
So in the mornings that World Fellowship breakfast starts at eight and there are lots of options for all of your meals. We are on the land of the founder and the Abenaki people who refer to themselves as Alnombak. There’s tons of programming if you want. You could also just relax the whole time.
00:01:27:21 – 00:01:28:12
…trying to.
00:01:28:14 – 00:01:32:02
get people to vote, trying to get people involved in the political process.
00:01:42:23 – 00:01:46:13
Kilombo Novo holds their retreat there every year.
00:01:47:06 – 00:01:54:04
…We had a great day of training yesterday, playing with different folks in the afternoon as well as some of our fam. And we’re going to get back at it today.
00:01:54:07 – 00:01:59:10
There’s Children’s Fellowship. There are all kinds of sports and activities.
00:02:07:21 – 00:02:22:06
And Fridays are fun nights where everybody gets to show off their talent. It’s an open mic night. And sometimes you might even catch an exchange of vows. That’s me and my now husband, Vinnie.
00:02:23:22 – 00:02:54:18
There’s a gorgeous mountain near World Fellowship called Mount Chocorua. Its peak is at 3490 feet and it can get a bit rugged, especially at the top. It’s a moderate to very difficult hike. But my brother and I were in our fifties and we took my ten year old nephew and 13 year old niece and we all made it to the top. We took a lot of breathers along the way, but we made it all the way for these breathtaking views.
00:03:08:04 – 00:03:25:01
Whitton Pond is everyone’s favorite place to be at World Fellowship. It’s about a half mile walk from the campgrounds and lodging. You can swim or take a rowboat out to Blueberry Island. Could even push your dad off the roof.
00:03:29:19 – 00:03:46:05
And in the evenings it is time to relax. You could go back to your room or your campsite and chill. Or maybe even participate in an evening of s’mores. This made our whole trip when my nephew Solomon said I would bring my children here.
00:03:46:07 – 00:03:48:23
And Solomon promised that he would bring his children here.
00:03:49:07 – 00:04:19:11
Because it’s a wonderful place. And even though there are always improvements to be made, it’s a place where leadership wants to hear how to make it better. They’re looking for a new director. So if this is you, send in your resumé. If you want to make reservations or find out more about World Fellowship, you can follow them on Facebook, on Instagram or on their website at WWW dot World Fellowship dot org.
